A 90-second video showcasing “real men” supporting Vice President Kamala Harris has set the internet ablaze—but for all the wrong reasons.
The ad, featuring men bragging about their masculinity while awkwardly declaring their backing for women’s rights, was quickly labelled “the cringiest political ad ever” by critics, who roasted it as an “absurd piece of rubbish.”
In the video, men—portrayed as farmers, car enthusiasts, and gym buffs—repeat lines like “I’m a man” and “I’m man enough,” before launching into declarations about supporting women’s autonomy. “You think I’m afraid to rebuild a carburetor? I eat carburetors for breakfast,” one man bizarrely proclaims, followed by another confidently stating, “I’ll tell you what I’m sure as s—t not afraid of … women.”
Social media users didn’t hold back.
“This ad is so bad, it’s more believable as parody than reality,” tweeted one critic, while another quipped, “Is this Kamala Harris commercial about ‘real men’ the worst ad in political history, and why is the answer yes?”
David Reaboi from the Claremont Institute piled on, saying, “Not only do they have no idea how actual men speak, they couldn’t even find convincing actors!”
Writer Emily Zanotti questioned the ad’s authenticity, asking, “Who wrote this script? Have they met literally a single male human?”
The ad, which concludes with a note stating it was “not authorized by candidate or candidate committee,” sparked speculation about whether it was satire engineered by Kamala Harris critics.
The Harris campaign has yet to comment on the viral video.
This is a democrat commercial for Kamala Harris telling us that “real men” vote for Kamala.
This is so cringe it is almost mental illness …
