Crews worked through the night to repair a burst water main at the corner of Queen and Wakefield Streets in Auckland, restoring water supply to affected properties.

The pipe burst late Sunday afternoon near the Civic Centre, prompting Watercare to set up a water tanker for residents experiencing low or no water pressure.

Residents were advised to run taps until discoloured water cleared.

Traffic management was implemented at the site on Sunday evening, with workers continuing repairs into Monday morning to ensure the area was fully secured.
