Tiger Woods is set to compete in his first PGA Tour event since last summer’s Open, as he tees up at next week’s Genesis Invitational at Torrey Pines.
The 15-time major champion, who has struggled with injuries since a serious car accident in 2021, missed the cut at the Open in July and underwent back surgery in September.
While he played a 36-hole event with his son Charlie in December, his return to full competition marks a significant moment.
The tournament, benefiting Woods’ TGR Foundation, was relocated to Torrey Pines due to wildfires in Los Angeles and comes shortly after the passing of his mother, Kultida.
