German Member of the European Parliament (MEP) Christine Anderson has issued a stark warning over the rapid rollout of digital identity systems and central bank digital currencies (CBDCs), saying they pose a serious threat to individual freedoms.
Speaking on the Man in America podcast, Anderson argued that governments are accelerating these initiatives because “they’re running out of time because more people are waking up.” She described the push as a “desperate attempt to erect a totalitarian surveillance state before too many people wake up.”
According to Anderson, the rising number of dissenting voices is forcing authorities to intensify their efforts. “The window is kind of closing, because the critical voices are becoming more and they’re becoming louder. So that’s why they’re ramping things up,” she said.
Anderson rejected the idea that digital ID would make life more convenient. “Digital identity [is] not so your life is easier. It’s so government has total control over you,” she insisted. She also called CBDCs “the crème de la crème of all control mechanisms,” warning of their potential use as a coercive tool.
“What do you think is going to happen the next time you refuse to take an mRNA shot?” Anderson asked. “With the flip of a switch, they just cancel your account. You cannot buy food anymore. You cannot do anything anymore.”

Just look at the way they coerced people during COVID. She is 99% right. The only thing I would say is its probably not going to stop people, instead amplifying those voices, leading to uprisings, civil wars and revolutions. People know what totalitarian states look like, from the early to mid 20th century in particular, no one wants to live that way.
