A magical night: Paul and Ringo reunite

In an unforgettable finale to his Got Back tour, Sir Paul McCartney brought the magic of The Beatles back to life by reuniting with Sir Ringo Starr on stage at London’s O2 Arena.

The crowd erupted with thunderous applause as the iconic drummer joined McCartney for electrifying performances of Helter Skelter and Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.

Ringo said, “I’ve had a great night and I love you all,” before leaving the stage.

The evening was filled with nostalgic moments, including a surprise appearance by Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood for a stirring rendition of Get Back, with McCartney wielding his original Hofner 500/1 bass guitar—recently recovered after being lost for over 50 years.

As the last surviving core members of The Beatles, McCartney and Starr have collaborated on special occasions since the band’s dissolution in 1969, and Thursday night was no exception.

Fans were treated to nearly 40 songs spanning McCartney’s legendary career, including hits from Wings, his solo albums, and even a heartfelt rendition of In Spite of All the Danger, the first song recorded by The Quarrymen, McCartney’s pre-Beatles band.
