Alphagen NZ Limited has recalled two batches of its Ārepa “Brain Drink” after a customer was injured by a chipped glass bottle.

The affected 300ml products, with batch codes 28629 and 28630, may have glass chipping at the bottle’s top due to a packaging fault.

Sold nationwide and exported to Australia, the drinks have been pulled from shelves.

New Zealand Food Safety is working with Alphagen to investigate and prevent future issues.

Consumers are advised not to drink the affected products and return them for a refund or safely dispose of them.
