Britain’s King Charles has revealed that his cancer treatment schedule will be reduced in the new year, crediting early diagnosis and timely medical intervention for the positive development.
In a personal message broadcast on UK television as part of the Stand Up To Cancer 2025 campaign, the King reflected on his experience with cancer, praising the medical professionals, researchers and volunteers who support patients while urging the public to prioritise screening.
He warned that at least nine million people in the UK are not up to date with available cancer screenings, calling these missed opportunities for early diagnosis that can save lives.
The King said early intervention had allowed him to continue leading a full and active life during treatment, describing the progress in his own care as both a personal blessing and evidence of advances in cancer treatment, while encouraging people to use a new national online screening checker to assess their eligibility and take action.
