Police confirmed two men, aged 25 and 43, have been arrested on suspicion of murder following the assault on Saturday morning.
Watkins, 48, was jailed in 2013 for crimes described by the sentencing judge as plunging “into new depths of depravity,” including the attempted rape of a baby.
