Police have arrested a 17-year-old male in relation to the serious assault in Barrington Park on Saturday.
The male will appear in the Christchurch Youth Court today (8 December 2022).
Police are not seeking anyone else in relation to this incident.
The serious assault occurred in Barrington Park at around 9pm on Saturday 3 December.
Police would like to thank the members of the public who have provided assistance in this investigation.
Police would still like to hear from anyone who was in the area around the time the assault occurred.
