Auckland’s passenger trains will be suspended from April 12 to 27 as KiwiRail undertakes major infrastructure upgrades for the City Rail Link, set to open next year.
The extended Easter-to-Anzac closure follows successful summer projects like electrifying the Papakura-Pukekohe line.
Replacement buses, including express services on the Southern Line, will support commuters.
Auckland Transport urged travellers to plan ahead due to changes in bus stops and services, noting increased train frequency to Pukekohe post-closure.
