New Zealand triathlete Hayden Wilde has been crowned overall champion of the T100 World Triathlon series after winning the season-ending Qatar T100 Triathlon World Championship, sealing the 2026 world title in emphatic fashion.
Wilde dominated the finale in hot conditions, pulling clear on the run to finish in 3h 06m 08s—more than a minute ahead of American Morgan Pearson—and secure his sixth victory of the season.
The title caps a remarkable comeback after Wilde suffered a serious bike crash involving a truck in Japan earlier in the year, returning to racing in under 100 days and resuming his winning form with victories in London, the French Riviera, Spain and Wollongong.
His grand final triumph earns him a US$350,000 season bonus plus a further US$40,000 winner’s cheque, underlining his status as the standout athlete in an increasingly competitive global triathlon landscape.
