Whistleblower Barry Young appeared in Wellington District Court in his ongoing case over the release of Health NZ vaccination data, which he says was done in the public interest to expose mortality figures.
RCR’s Meagan McNamara spoke with Young outside the court. The hearing forms part of his claim for protection under the Protected Disclosures Act. The judge will now review the evidence and is expected to rule by 20 October.
When asked if the judge had received the leaked data, Young said he was “unable to comment”. After the hearing, Young returned to speak with about 60 supporters outside the court and expressed hope that justice would prevail.
