Mein received a total of 3 years and 11 months for a raft of charges relating to two young victims.
The first victim, an 8 year old girl, was known to Mein. In August 2021 Mein took her to Halswell Park where he asked her to engage in sexual acts with him. She said no but did end up exposing herself to him.
The second victim was a 12 year old girl. Mein engaged in sexual messaging with her during the period February to May 2022. This included ‘phone sex’. In May the pair met up in a local park for several hours. Mein attended with condoms and gave her a cuddly toy and ring when he left.
Mein’s name was entered on the Child Sex Offenders register.
Should be castrated
