All Police constabulary staff, authorised officers and recruits will be required to be vaccinated against COVID-19.
The announcement was welcomed by Police Commissioner Andrew Coster. Coster said, “This mandate is an important step for us. While staff have taken all precautions to prevent te spread of COVID-19, vaccination is an essential component of safety.”
86.5% of police have been double-jabbed to date.
A video posted to social media recently claimed 1,200 police staff would walk off the job if jab mandates came in.
