Dozens dead, cities struck in latest Iranian retaliatory missile barrage

Iran and Israel have launched devastating retaliatory strikes in what is being described as the most intense military confrontation between the two nations.

On Sunday local time, Israeli airstrikes hit Tehran, killing at least 224 people—including 70 women and children—and claiming the lives of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) intelligence chief and two senior generals.

In response, Iran unleashed a fresh wave of missile attacks on Israel, targeting the port city of Haifa and central Tel Aviv.

At least three people were killed and dozens wounded in Israel, where two high-rise buildings were struck, trapping residents in elevators. E

mergency responders are still searching for survivors as damage assessments continue.

Israeli Channel 12 News broadcast footage of extensive destruction across impacted areas. With both sides reporting mounting civilian casualties and missing persons, the death toll is expected to rise.

They both should have learnt the lesson last year about Iranian hypersonics.
