Emergency services were called to Tamatea Street in Mahora around 2:40pm today.
The formal identification process is ongoing, as is the investigation into the circumstances of the fire.
Cordons remain in place on Tamatea Street between Duke Street and Tamatea Place while emergency services work at the scene.
