The crash near Moeraki Boulders Road was reported at around 4:20pm on 13 July.
The woman was taken to Dunedin Hospital with critical injuries and sadly passed away early this morning.
“Our thoughts are with her family and friends at this extremely difficult time”, said police in a statement.
Enquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing.
