Police are investigating a fire at Prime Minister Christopher Luxon’s Auckland electorate office in Botany after emergency services were called to the Millhouse Drive premises in Auckland on Wednesday morning.

A nearby witness reported hearing a loud bang before responders arrived and the area was cordoned off.

Police have confirmed the blaze is being treated as suspicious, with a scene examination underway. Staff at the office were unharmed, and Luxon’s office said the matter is now in the hands of police.
