A High Court case begins on Monday that could reshape how New Zealand regulates potentially harmful chemicals, as the Environmental Law Initiative (ELI) challenges the Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) over its 2021 decision not to reassess glyphosate.
The judicial review will not decide whether glyphosate is safe, but whether the EPA followed lawful and rational processes in dismissing calls for reassessment, despite mounting international evidence linking the herbicide to cancer, endocrine disruption, and environmental harm.
ELI argues that the EPA failed to consider relevant emerging research and neglected its legal duty to protect public and environmental health.
Critics including NoMoreGlyphosate.nz say the agency relied on outdated information and ignored global shifts, as several countries have moved to restrict or ban glyphosate. New Zealand, meanwhile, lacks regular testing of local food for glyphosate residues and has recently raised legal residue limits.
The outcome of the case could force the EPA to revisit its decision and initiate a full scientific reassessment—placing public health and regulatory accountability back in the spotlight.
More information about the case can be found on the NoMoreGlyphosate.nz website.
The globalist agenda, make us sick, then just die already
Get the feeling ‘they’ have been surreptitiously poisoning us for decades? Glyphosate, fluoride, margarine, the list goes on. Seed oils, etc etc (add more that come to mind).
Cloud seeding , folic acid
And the big one, so called vaccines
Our EPA deems to do the EXACT OPPOSITE of care about the environment or people.
