‘High-profile New Zealander’ arrested – District Court gags media on charges and identity

District Court news

A well-known New Zealander was arrested last week, but the case is now shrouded in secrecy.

State-funded media learned the individual faces eight serious charges, each carrying potential prison terms of two years or more. However, an interim court order prevents the media from revealing their identity or even the nature of the alleged offences.

The full details remain suppressed until at least the person’s first court appearance.

  1. What’s the point of stories like this. “Someone has been arrested for something but we can’t tell you who or why”.

    • The story in the fact that they have suppressed the name as well as the charges with is not common. Unfortunately them this may have the Streisand effect.

    • The entire country is just one giant Masonic Lodge…! Hiding the ‘secrets’…as usual!
OR- Maybe the ‘person’ is also J3wi$h, and they don’t want anyone to know who it is based on that aspect of things.
Anonymous is correct- keep an eye on Parliament to see who isn’t there.

  2. These institutions are funded by the public, so shouldn’t they be transparent to the public? Really sums up a lot of whats wrong, with this country.

  3. Mallard?
They all need to be processed through the justice system. Even if they have been threatened not to speak up, knowingly allowing the people of NZ to be subject to medical experimentation and programming is a crime. Let alone being instrumental in the decision processes that have harmed many
