Police have launched a homicide investigation following the death of a man at a Tauranga address earlier today.
Emergency services were called to a property on Fraser Street at about 11.40am, where they located a man deceased. Police have confirmed that the circumstances surrounding the death are being treated as suspicious.
A person is currently assisting police with enquiries, and investigators will carry out a scene examination at the Fraser Street property throughout the day. Inspector Lew Warner said they are not seeking any other individuals in connection with the incident at this time.
Police are appealing for information from the public, urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has relevant details to come forward.
