Justice Minister Paul Goldsmith has announced the appointment of High Court Judge Hon Justice Timothy Brewer as New Zealand’s next Inspector-General of Defence, with barrister Natalie Pierce named as the inaugural Deputy.

Justice Brewer, a former Brigadier and Court Martial Judge, will begin his new role on December 1 after retiring from the Bench in mid-November.

Ms Pierce, an expert in criminal, human rights, and national security law, will start on November 10.

Goldsmith also thanked Brendan Horsley for his interim service, noting the Inspector-General’s office will continue its work overseeing Defence Force operations and recommending policy improvements.

  1. Expert!!!
    Red Flag
Just like most experts go wrong at the fourth word in the first sentence of the first verse of Genesis
Looks like we had and still have experts running the Reserve Bank of NZ
Orr and His small acquired army still couldn’t get it right and failed to react
Before and after the ominous signs of an economy that needed the brakes put on after they created the situation through induced liquidity and when to take the brakes off
And why the NZ economy is still in a tail spin and state of shock with things not likely to improve any time soon
Ah and golden parachutes just to mark the occasion
Maybe a new novice Reserve Bank Governor from outside NZ might bring things right?
The best Finance Minister we have ever had
Books written as cover stories re framing as success gross negligence and ineptitude in collusion implicated in the running of the economy
    We are surrounded by experts
It all adds to a rosy future
You could rave on about this all day but what would be the point
    No hope for the hopeless

  2. Maybe Ms. Pierce can look into why New Zealand is supporting genocidal, war criminal states such as Israel and the Ukraine, and why new zealand is sending both money when we have had ACC cuts to those who are chronically ill, injured and cannot work!!!

Let’s insure that what has happened in the U.S.A does NOT happen here as well!

AND- to insure it doesn’t with the re-election of the Uni-Party, Kiwis are awake and will be voting for the New Zealand Loyal Party!
BUT- this shift in politics is not covered, mentioned or noted in the Zionist-controlled MSM!

  3. I see little to no reason why we even need a military in NZ. We could be like Costa Rica and Iceland. Indeed, if a slim argument for one can be made, it should be a small, well equipped special forces regiment, skilled in guerrilla warfare. If anyone invaded, that is what we would most likely end up with anyway. That said, NZ is considered one of the hardest nations in the world to invade and hold.
