A large fire at a car sales and storage yard on Maurice Rd in Auckland’s Penrose industrial area was contained early Sunday morning after Fire and Emergency responded just before 1am.
At the peak of the blaze, nine firetrucks, three ladder trucks, a command unit, and several support vehicles were on site, with around 50 firefighters working to bring the situation under control.
By morning, two firetrucks and a fire investigator remained at the scene.
