Parliament Protest Press Release – 15 February

Full Text of Press Release from COMBINED PROTEST GROUPS in Parliament grounds, 15 February 2022.

We are united in demanding an end to Covid-19 mandates. Until the mandates end, we are determined to maintain our presence.

No response has been received to yesterday’s letter sent to the government seeking an urgent meeting to open dialogue. We strongly urge the government to engage – they want a solution, we want a solution.

An important milestone is that police have acknowledged our right to protest on Parliament grounds.

We have been actively engaging with police including on traffic management being mindful of public safety and wishing to minimise disruption to the people of Wellington.

Despite this, police have today issued a statement regarding parking that we have not “shown any concern for the negative impact” of protestors’ activities. This is yet more misinformation. Police know we have been highly involved in discussions with them and that we share their concerns.

We are a peaceful movement and do not condone or tolerate aggression or intimidation. We have a dedicated internal security team to maintain a peaceful operation.

We speak for the vast majority of the protestors present, but not all. Accusations have been made about threatening behaviour and we encourage the police to work with us on that to identify those involved.

The Prime Minister accuses the protestors of spreading misinformation, while claiming support for the mandates because 95% of New Zealanders are vaccinated. It’s that claim which is misinformation.

We therefore challenge Labour to run a national poll and share the results, asking New Zealanders: “Do you support the mandates?”.

The Prime Minister is also deliberately trying to portray the protests as being about vaccination. They are not. The protestors include the partially vaccinated, double-vaccinated, boosted and unvaccinated. All however are united that the mandates must end.

The international evidence could not be more clear: Omicron does not discriminate between the vaccinated and unvaccinated. Therefore the mandates are no longer necessary.

This communication summarises the views of the majority of groups present at Parliament:

  • Convoy 2022 NZ
  • Freedom Alliance
  • New Zealand Doctors Speaking Out with Science
  • Outdoors & Freedom Movement
  • The Freedom and Rights Coalition
  • The Hood NZ
  • Voices for Freedom

  1. This is brilliant. Exactly what I believe regarding the mandates. Thank you for writing it so plainly. I hope and pray that the leaders of our country will listen and act.

  2. I support the Convoy 2022 Protest 100%. It is not about whether people are vaccinated or not. It is about taking away the right to make one’s own choice. It is about removing all mandates. It is about reinstating those who have lost their employment due to the ‘no jab no job’ mandate. It is standing up with those who have lost their business due to unnecessary lock down. It is about calling the government and individuals within to account for the lies spoken and deliberate sowing of fear. If Jacinda believes 95% of the country are with her she is hugely mistaken. There are those who do fully agree, are many of them driven by fear? Stand up New Zealand, we should never be locked down by fear and trickery.

  3. My Daughter is in Wellington she is now a unemployed Teacher she is also with at least 30 other Teacher’s they also have 4 Nurses & Social
Workers , so yes you are correct the protest is not full of yobs .
Thank you for everything that you do .

    • Hi, my daughter is also in Wellington along with 4 of her police colleagues who have just been mandated to have the jab. She is not front line Ann’s answers emergency calls in their office- pure madness

Thank you to every individual standing for truth in Wellington. 100% support from one who cannot be there.

  5. End the mandates and get rid of jacinda and her tyrannical government and RESET PARLIAMENT! None of those politicians that work in the beehive are trustworthy. Terminate the police commissioner from his position too!

    • i can’t believe i’m saying this but I may vote for Winnie if he gets back In. He has realised the mandates are ridiculous. Whether he is just being contrary or not who knows, but it’s clever

  6. Thanks for writing so clearly. With you all the way. Mandates gotta go. Jobs must be reinstated. Lies acknowledged. Offenders stood down. Keep it peaceful. Proud of the peaceful protestors.

  7. “We are a peaceful movement and do not condone or tolerate aggression or intimidation.” – General consensus from the protesters.

‘If the police have to go in, and close that thing down, many people will be hurt…and that’s a certainty.’ – Police Commissioner Coster.

  8. Hope govt takes this seriously and NZ becomes the country which kind to minor.
You shouldn’t force Muslims to eat pigs. I think it’s same.

  9. Unfortunately for them, this is profoundly illegal and unlawful —-their corporations are forfeit and their police forces are illegal private mercenary personnel, not lawful soldiery.

What they are doing is in direct contravention of International Law, the Geneva Conventions, the Hague Conventions, and whether they know it or not, their Principals, the Holy See and the Queen and Westminster, have all directly or indirectly acquiesced and signed the Rome Statutes.

So they are actually in a world of hurt and liable for everything they do.

They just don’t know it yet.

Above is extracted from Anna Von Reitz writing. Well worth researching.

  10. We were told by the police just yesterday that the vaccines are taken entirely voluntarily! Well, tell that to the people who have lost their jobs, been bullied, coerced and threatened, and mandated to take the vax or lose their job. There seems to be a lot of double-speak going on here. Technically it is voluntary, but God help you if you don’t get jabbed!

  11. I also 100% support the protest in Wellington, and any other protest action around NZ against the current mandates.
I believe our current government have lied and incorrectly reported data to promote a non-existant pandemic.

The only science the government provide is scripted narrative, to nudge and coerce the NZ public to receive an injection that is creating harm. Doctors and nurses are being gagged to further support this lie.

Continue to stand NZ, against the lies and betrayal of this current government.

  12. I 100% support the protest! Every person should have the freedom to choose over their body. Being forced to be vaccinated is essentially needle rape.

Discriminating against people who are not vaccinated, is medical apartheid.

On top of that, the government has made too many decisions that disagree with Pfizer’s own data and studies. Pfizer’s CEO has admitted that the current booster was created before Omicron, so it does not cover Omicron. So why does the NZ government say it does and mandate it?

Every one of our epidemiologists’ predictions has been wrong, so the government should not be listening to them.

    Mandates and discrimination must go.

  13. I totally support the Freedom Protest. That Coster would make such a statement against a peaceful protest is utterly contemptible and I believe illustrates the calibre of the man. I shed tears as I watched the livestream of the Police making their 122 arrests – hardly believing that this was NZ. There isn’t one MP worthy of keeping their position as a representative of the people – I am astonished none from ANY party have bothered to come out and speak to the crowd. There are just no words which adequately describe the anger and bitterness I feel for the current regime and its leader.

  14. I Fully support the protest 100%, it’s not about vaccinations, it’s about the rights of people to choose freely, to end this tyrannical injustice on ones personal freedoms, it’s about forced digital IDs, it’s about the damage done to families, small business and enforced no jab, no job policies that have been pushed by the current government, it’s about division, discrimination, segregation that has again been implemented by the forced mandates rolled out by this tyrannical government under the leadership of an egotistical maniac that refuses to even listen to the people of this nation .. shame on you the current government and on those who simply sit back and criticise.. it’s a disgrace and those who endorse such measures needs to be held accountable

  15. Well done and well written! I stand with you 100%.
    Mandates must go!
Thank you for what you are doing for all of us. My two daughters and my wife all lost their jobs through these mandates and now I have been mandated.
We pray for you all down in wellington every day.
May God bless you all for fighting for our freedoms and our rights.

  16. Having attended the protest I saw no evidence of threatening behavior, and it is clear Wellington people went about their activities in the surrounding locations as normal , often curious about what was happening at Parliament .

    • Its time to start protest activity in the districts. Protesting outside Council offices where swimming pools and libraries aren’t available to the newly created class. Rates rebates should be forthcoming until mandates are withdrawn so the Councils can’t be associated with vaccine apartheid.

  17. I Absolutely support the protesters 100% in my own situation I’ll be at a loss of my license if I cannot renew it this year leaving me to walk to the shops with my young children this is a fundamental basic right. stop the mandates!

  18. 90% of people I know got vaxxed just to keep their jobs the other 10 % thought they were doing the right thing yet here we are 2 years on and the govt still want us to believe the vax works when it clearly doesn’t. booster after booster is pure insanity and unscientific – in my mind anyway.

  19. I’m finding it difficult to accept the government’s figures on vaccination rates.
Seems to me there are a lot more unvaccinated than they’re admitting to.
I could be right of track here. Can anyone enlighten me.

    • I read somewhere, will try and find at some point, that it is 90% of people registered at DHB’s that had been to doctors in the previous 12 months prior to covid. So to my thinking that could be well below as not all Kiwi’s go to doctors all the time , I have not been for years. Hope this helps

    • Vaccination rates -they’ll tell you what they’re desperate for you to know. When we want to know something, we don’t exist. That’s the whole basis of non-response to this protest. Seymour is the only politician prepared to meet with the group. Luxon isn’t going to save this country. He took on an airline that Rob Fyfe redesigned and made fly with the world knowing it was a great airline. Luxon didn’t match or better that, he simply lived in the legacy. He’s taken National out of its misery when Collins left, that’s all. He will change nothing that Labour does.
Seymour was the only politician to willingly visit Auckland in the last lockdown and now he’s trying to crowbar the know-alls out of this stalemate.
Can we see a pattern? He’s at least got the notion that he’s employed by taxpayers and is accountable to them. Apart from that NZ is being ruled by a cartel, remote controlled by a giant pharmaceutical corporation. Try getting rapid antigen tests anywhere and that should convince you.

  20. I’m a ordinary professional working NZer double vaxed. I can’t attend this protest, but wish I could. I even spent a few years working in Parliament which I used to be proud of, but no more. Everything you have stated I agree with. I have voted Labour and then National but I seriously think both have misread the public horribly. I’m disgusted at JA, Luxton and Mallard’s attitudes and treatment of these ordinary New Zealanders who are representing a great many of us. I’m heartbroken decent hardworking law abiding NZers have lost their jobs under the ‘no jab, no job’ policy of both Labour and National and many workplaces who followed suit. You wont be forgiven for this or for wrecking the economy along with so many people’s livelihoods.

    • Wow thank you for writing this – perfect words.

I stand 100% in support of the Freedom Gathering. They are everyday NZers who deserve to be heard

  21. I am here in Wellington. We are united with ending the mandates. The lies & deliberate suppression of the truth concerning this plandemic is plain & simply about control. The dishonesty emanating from our tyrannical PM, is denigrating to NZ as a whole. She is untrustworthy-along with many of our politicians-& needs to be removed, along with her cousin, the Police Commissioner. How dare she think this is an imported idea! She is a WEF graduate, along with that other coward Trudeau, Bill Gates & etc. She has “imported” her agenda from another tyrant, Klaus Schwab. Who does she think she is? The young upstart!

  22. I agree with everything you say and stand with the protesters 100%.
This govt and all the opposing parties are corrupt cabal puppets and they all need to be cleared out of the hornets nest. The protesters should move to 1 Rugby St if/when removed from parliament, The Governor General is the only one that can dissolve parliament.
