21-year-old New Zealander Finbar Sullivan has been fatally stabbed in a north London park, after police were called to reports of a fight at Primrose Hill shortly before 6.45pm on Tuesday.

He was found with critical stab wounds, with emergency services unable to save him at the scene

A second man discovered nearby with injuries was taken to hospital and is expected to recover.

Sullivan, the grandson of acclaimed cinematographer Michael Seresin and son of musician Chris Sullivan, had recently begun pursuing filmmaking with a new camera and ambitions to follow in his grandfather’s footsteps, as detectives say the investigation is progressing rapidly following the attack, which unfolded in front of members of the public gathered in the park.
