NZ Outdoors and Freedom Party pushes for stronger Bill of Rights to protect medical freedom and fundamental rights

NZ Outdoors and Freedom Party (NZOFP) is extremely concerned about the serial undermining of fundamental rights by governments and our courts and supports urgent reform to strengthen our fundamental rights.

“New Zealand Bill of Rights was implemented to uphold New Zealand’s obligations under the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights. It is one of only a handful of laws to protect the public against abuse of power by the state. In contrast most of our laws have the opposite purpose of the state restricting the public,” said the party in a press release today.

“Our fundamental human rights including the right to life, right to refuse medical treatment and right not to be experimented on, and not be subject to cruel and inhumane treatment have been ignored by our politicians and bureaucrats. This happened frequently during the COVID, response and the lack of respect has continued since then.”

“One obvious example is mass medication with fluoridation, which involves the addition of a known neurotoxin industrial waste to our drinking water” says NZ Outdoors and Freedom Party leader Sue Grey.

“Our government and Supreme Court sometimes recognise the importance of these fundamental rights. However their respect is ad hoc. Sometimes they treat our fundamental rights as if they don’t matter at all” said Grey.

“In the case of fluoridation the government admitted not even considering the rights implications of their decisions, even after the US Federal Court had determined that the risks of fluoridation from its known neurotoxicity (poisoning of children’s brains) were unjustified.”

Recently the crown has argued that it’s too onerous to expect public servants to consider our human rights before making decisions which affect the public.

“It should not be for the government to decide if their policies and decisions are justified limitations to our rights. These rights are fundamental and belong to the people. They are essential for individual mana and dignity” says Sue Grey.

At its AGM last weekend, the NZOFP adopted a solution to Fix the Bill of Rights to better safeguard our most fundamental rights including medical freedom and informed consent

“NZOFP urges all political parties to unite fix to BORA by legislating the following amendment to send a clear signal to future Parliaments, Governments, and all NZ institutions to ensure they comprehend that human rights are fundamental, particularly the rights and freedoms in sections 8, 9, 10 and 11, to ensure no person might be forcibly medicated, and the government may not mandate actions which may cause death.

“Under the remit, the New Zealand Parliament (coalition of willing parties) will initiate a Bill in the House to enact the following amendment to the Bill of Rights 1990 (the following text represents the full scope of the proposed amendment) current text in italic, amended text in bold italic:

“Amend S5 Justified limitations by inserting: Subject to section 4, and subject to section 5A, the rights and freedoms contained in this Bill of Rights may be subject only to such reasonable limits prescribed by law as can be demonstrably justified in a free and democratic society

“Insert a new section 5A: 5A Unjustified limitations to say: None of sections 4 and 5 provide any justified limits on the rights and freedoms contained in sections 8, 9, 10 and 11

“Amend S11 Right to refuse medical treatment to read: Everyone has the right to refuse to undergo any medical treatment; informed consent might be provided for children by their guardians, and for persons unable to make decisions for themselves by lawfully enacted means.”

  1. 100% agree with this. 100% agree with the detailed development of the basic rights we all need.

I remember NZOFP joined Freedoms NZ to contest the 2023 election and this coalition included toxic religious nutjobs. Can NZOFP please not coalesce with them in 2026?

I would rather vote for constructive people-building policies rather than divisive policies which divide then abuse different sections of society.

    • Agreed would be good to see them stand on their own terms and avoid anyone backing the vile state of Israel. Still there are other choices such as NZ Loyal and TOP, which are worth considering, too.

      • Agree. Having given my party vote to NZOFP the last 2 elections, I won’t again unless they separate from association with Tamaki/Destiny church.

No time for Israeli genocide supporters or nasty, divisive politics and intimidation and hatred towards minorities

        • Attitudes like yours are the reason why the freedom parties only receive a tiny percentage of the vote. If they could unite while accepting that they do not have to agree on every single thing, we might see a different outcome.

          • I’m for agreeing to disagree. That is why NZOFP got my vote last time.

Disagreeing about what is happening in Gaza and the wider middle east is another thing completely.

Netanyahu is a nutcase enabled by the clown leading the US, and the tossers in the EU.

      • TOP?? those guys are the worst of midwit normies. Their response to questions on water fluoridation, is to block anyone who asks, in order to maintain the appearance of everyone being in agreement with their unscientific position on the topic. A more accurate name for that D-grade circle-jerk would be BOTTOM.

  2. No chance the globalists in Labour and National will go along with this or I suspect ACT or NZF. Sill a noble ideal, that maybe, in a future where the globalists have been swept away, peoples rights will, once again, be respected. I doubt I’ll live to see it but its something to hold onto, nonetheless.

  3. King Alfred the Great, the founder of our English civilization, gave us the Common Law—the principle that no man, be he peasant, prince, or king, is above it. And he hanged corrupt judges and made war on disloyal nobles to ensure that law was for the People, not for the powerful. That is the legacy we have allowed to be taken from us.
The breach is before us. The rot of centuries must be torn out, burned out in blood if need be— the Parliament, the foreign-owned politicians, the traitorous judges, slave mastering businessmen, bankers and bureaucrats, all representatives of the controlling British Imperialist system.

  4. Just remove section 5 altogether. Governments should not be able to blatantly weasel their way out of laws protecting the citizenry on the basis of “reasonable limits prescribed by law as can be demonstrably justified in a free and democratic society”.

What that tyrannical government did during Covid could never be described as ‘justified’. Quite apart from the abuse of sections 10 and 11 of the Act regarding medical treatment, the government also ignored section 18 that allows for freedom of movement and the right for citizens to enter New Zealand.

If New Zealanders did manage to gain entry to the country they were then subjected to very cruel treatment, which is outlawed according to section 9, by being locked up in a hotel room for two or three weeks. As for section 14 the right to freedom of expression was denied and censored if anyone tried to speak out against the government’s Covid policies.

Suffice to say that Ardern and Co treated the Bill of Rights Act like used toilet paper during Covid.

  5. Better still- merge with the New Zealand Loyal Party after reading their policy page.
    Here-I’ll make it easy for everyone;
    https://nzloyal.com/policy/
NZ Loyal Party is an irritant to the Zionist Global Powers That Be, as they are even being barred from even opening a bank account.
    https://nzloyal.com/kiwibank-asb-and-nbs-referred-to-ombudsman/
The dissuasive subterfuge that the Zio-Globalist media is perpetrating on the NZ Loyal Party is self-evident, based on the NZ Loyal Party demanding accountability, and had to go offshore to view the Christchurch Mosque attack footage which has been outlawed in NZ but was viewed in Thailand, then fully analysed and declared to be fake!
    https://nzloyal.com/truth-on-trial-forensic-video-analysis-report/
Both the O&FP and NZ Loyal Party have been subjected to the abuse of the J3wdicial System via ‘Lawfare’ on the part of the government at several levels.
If both NZ Loyal and the O&FP sat down, reached an agreement on shared and adopted policies, then a Super-Pac or Party Merger can take place. Whether Family First would endorse this is unknown at this stage, but the New Conservative Party would do well to merge with the NZ Loyal Party.
Three currently registered Political Parties merging into one, with an endorsing organisation (Family First) which share the same values,
would insure a formidable political body to be reckoned with.
Whether disappointed / disillusioned NZ First Party members would join the Super Pac / Party mergers in changing direction away from the Zio-Globalist sway that has been in government for years remains to be seen.
Problem is, the egos of the leaders of the parties, and that would have to be dealt with.
I would remain secure knowing that Kelvyn Alp could and would lead such a merger, based on his focused actions to get a positive end result; results that are ignored and sarcastically ridiculed by the media.
If you earn the wrath of the government and it’s controlled Zionist-owned media, then it means that you are having a positive effect in trying to change the political processes in Welly away from the Globalist Agendas of the WEF, JWO, WHO and NATO / UN, including the Reserve Banking Systen that prints useless paper money and charges interest (usury) in the government counterfeiting scam!

  6. NZ Bal,al Hat CorPO Gov failed miserably in March 2020. The BOR is now null and void. The Next Gov incoming better be a freedom party, with the right to free speech and right to bear arms. If not RIP NZ.

  7. Anybody on this side of the fence which government has errected needs to comprehend that this is no time for vain diluting ideology.
We have to come together under one umbrella and that umbrella has to be to re-set parliamentary power.
It is to create an alternative umbrella, the only umbrella holding a chance to eventuate that.
At this stage there is no place for trench warfare within the out-of-parliament opposition.
I say it clearly and many who I know say the same: any functionary who esposes to represent We The People needs to have ZERO ego but 100% dedication for above described goal. I will vote for ANYBODY who pulls in that direction. We need a grand coalition forming under one party.
For the people leading NZLoyal, TOP, NZOFP, Tamaki/Destiny church and others: Bury for now your differences. If YOU care for NZ you will do so.This is not the time for your personal convictions. This is the time for New Zealand. Once politics have changed on the home front you can then gather your followers to seggregate.
One thing ye’all can be sure of: We The People Of Godzone are awake and will not stand for any egomaniac anymore.
We will watch closely how NZLoyal, TOP, NZOFP, Tamaki/Destiny et alt. discuss and handle this grand coalition of We The People Power.
