The man charged with the murder of Auckland woman Pauline Hanna is her husband Philip Polkinghorne, a surgeon.
Polkinghorne appeared in the Auckland District Court earlier today and entered a plea of not guilty.
In a statement Polkinghorne expressed his shock at the charge. ‘The justice process must now run its course and I trust the truth will be shown. I thank my family and friends for their enduring love and support,’ he said.
