Police have confirmed that the death of an 8-month-old baby at a Newtown residence in Wellington on 24 September is not being treated as suspicious.
In a statement, authorities announced that after conducting preliminary investigations, they are satisfied with referring the case to the Coroner for further review. The Coroner will release official findings in due course.
“This is a very distressing time for the baby’s family, and we continue to offer them support and our condolences,” police stated.
