A security breach at Auckland Airport disrupted travel plans as all passengers were required to undergo rescreening, leading to long queues at the domestic departures terminal.

This morning’s incident was quickly resolved promptly, but its impact included the cancellation of four Air New Zealand flights and delays for several others.

This disruption follows earlier delays this month linked to security machine upgrades.

No information is available on the nature of the breach, but a spokesperson confirmed, “Aviation Security Services is requiring all passengers to be rescreened and that process is underway now

“We thank travellers for their patience and they should please check with their airline about any impact to their flight.”
