Police are appealing for information in relation to a stabbing on State Highway 27, Springdale, Matamata-Piako District on Sunday 10 December.
The stabbing occurred at the site of a meeting of illegal street racers on State Highway 27 that night.
The incident where two people were stabbed – suffering moderate to serious injuries – occurred at around 12.30am.
Enquiries into the full circumstances of what occurred during this incident are ongoing, and a number of items were seized from the scene to assist with our investigations.
The other people involved are believed to have been travelling in a white BMW sedan.
