Police have assisted emergency responders with an incident at Auckland Airport this morning.

‘A domestic Air New Zealand flight from Queenstown was reported to be having suspected hydraulic issues, but at no time was passenger safety thought to be at risk,’ said Senior Sergeant Wendy Pickering, Area Commander Auckland Airport.

Police were among emergency services at Auckland Airport standing by to respond.

‘However, the plane was able to land safely with its landing gear down, and on time at around 11.07am.

‘There were no injuries to anyone on board.’

  1. No biggie, still-
I’d rather have hydraulic systems with cables, pulleys and bellcranks as opposed to ‘Fly-By-Wire’ systems which can be hacked, catch fire or suffer being fried by an EMP.
