A proposal to change the alert level system in New Zealand is to be discussed at a meeting of Cabinet on Monday.
The new system is based on the colours of the traffic light, with green roughly equating to level 1, amber to level 2, and red to level 2.5.
Levels 3 and 4 would remain in place as is.
It is difficult to understand the logic in this, other than being a re-branding exercise to keep an increasingly disinterested public engaged in the COVID narrative.
