Two people have been located deceased following a serious incident in Nelson this afternoon.
Earlier today, just before 12pm, Police received information about the alleged theft of a shotgun at a store in Annesbrook.
The offender has then left the area in a vehicle prior to Police arrival.
A short time later, Police were alerted to a firearms incident on Parkers Road, and on arrival a man and a woman were both located deceased.
“Initial enquiries suggest the two deceased were known to each other. We are providing the necessary support to their loved ones,” said Superintendent Blair Macdonald.
“I can reassure the public that this was an isolated incident and there is no ongoing risk to public safety.
“Police are now investigating the circumstances into what exactly has occurred.
“As part of our enquiries, Police are also in attendance at a property on Sanctuary Drive in Stoke.
“Cordons have been established in the Quarantine Road, Parkers Road, and Sanctuary Drive areas. Scene guards are also in place.
“Members of the public are advised to avoid those areas, and nearby residents can expect to see an increased Police presence throughout the coming days.
“Access to Nelson Airport is still available via Bolt Road.
“We understand this incident was deeply distressing to members of our community, and we are providing support to those who witnessed the incident unfold.
“Police are not seeking anyone else in relation to this incident.”
Just like the ChCh incident, the more preposterous the story, the more unlikely the incident; the more likelihood the govt clamp down on reapinsible firearm license holders when a non-licence-holder tests an untested scenario
Nelsons water supply is both fluoridated and chlorinated which are not the same thing
Coupled with the jab another known toxic substance detrimental to health and well being still being pushed by sinister ulterior agents in NZ – who would know?
Sounds like a good place to stay out of and keep away from
Yes, please stay away. Nelson was a perfectly happy little country before being invaded by non-retirees.
