U.S. deploys 16,000 troops near Venezuela

The United States has amassed a major military presence near Venezuela, deploying around 16,000 personnel in what analysts see as a possible prelude to expanded regional operations, The Washington Post reported.

According to the report, the force includes approximately 10,000 soldiers and 6,000 sailors positioned across eight US Navy warships, a special operations vessel, and a nuclear-powered submarine already in the Caribbean.

The aircraft carrier USS Gerald R. Ford is expected to arrive next week, bringing an additional three escort ships and more than 4,000 personnel.

The buildup comes amid escalating rhetoric between Washington and Caracas. The US has accused Venezuela of aiding “narcoterrorist” groups and has imposed sweeping sanctions, while Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro has accused Washington of “fabricating a new war” to justify intervention.

Satellite imagery reportedly shows F-35 fighter jets stationed at a US base in Puerto Rico. Experts cited by the Post say the carrier group’s arrival suggests a mission beyond standard counter-narcotics operations. Ryan Berg of the Center for Strategic & International Studies noted that President Donald Trump faces “a major decision” within weeks before the fleet would need redeployment.

Recent reports claim the White House has identified potential military targets in Venezuela, including sites allegedly linked to drug smuggling. However, when asked about these claims, Trump denied any plans for military strikes, even as he recently confirmed authorizing CIA covert operations in the region.

  1. These is the PTB who have vested interests in oil and rare earth perpetrating this shit! Many of them with direct ties to Israel, who is using their bitch the U.S. to do their bidding once again with another proxy war.
Imagine what would happen IF the Russian Nuclear Poseidon Torpedo was detonated under the keel of the USS Gerald Ford, with the nearby support force capsizing from the 1500 foot generated tsunami, and the landing shores of targeted nations becoming radioactive for years to come.
A no-win situation, but a very plausable one based on the stupidity of those in D.C. who have taken J3wi$h money and have brainwashed themselves into supporting Israel, lest they too end-up like JFK, RFK, MLK and…Charlie Kirk, who sufferdr a steered and covertly arranged Zionist marriage which is now out in the open.

    • Actually they have all the oil they need in Texas. Venezuelan oil difficult and costly to process (I only learned this recently myself).

Of course, there’s also gold and precious gems i “them thar hills”, plus they Munroe doctrine and its amendments, to uphold. Suffice to say, this is as much about (a failing) empire as it is money.

  2. Scum. I hope Venezuela fights like hell and makes Vietnam look like a picnic. My heartfelt support and sympathy goes to Maduro and his people, in the face of these repulsive warmongers and sponsors of genocide.
