UK considers passport checks for social media

images

The UK is planning to ban under-16s from social media from spring 2027, with users expected to face tougher age checks to access platforms.

The Government has considered methods including passports, driving licences, credit checks and facial age estimation.

Ofcom has assessed how “highly effective age assurance” could be used to determine if someone is over 16. Privacy campaigner Big Brother Watch warned the plans could lead to wider ID checks for online access.

  3. This isn’t about under 16’s… it’s about everyone over 16. It isn’t about social media… it’s about State control of your access to the internet, and connecting a record of everything electronic you do to you.

  4. Governments do not give a rats arse about under 16-year-olds. What government is engineering is full tracking on the internet.

They will track where you are, who you message, what is in you bank account, what you buy, sell, what you say, who you say it to. What you post, what you read, what movie you watch. To record your voice, to take screenshots, to video you. What speed you drive, what vehicle you are using. All education, all cort matters, Even this post i am writing now. Posts you reply to.

You will not be able to delete your account. You will not be able to change. Your account. Your digital id will be held by the government. It will be available to other governments.

    There will be zero privacy.

Heres the thing. You don’t have 5000 friends. You don’t have 10,000 followers. Governments desire to control your consumption.

Put down your devices. Meet with your mates in person. We all spend far to much online,
