Federal prosecutors will seek the death penalty for Luigi Mangione, the 26-year-old accused of fatally shooting UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson outside a New York hotel on December 4 last year.

Attorney General Pam Bondi described the act as a “cold-blooded assassination” and “political violence,” citing the attack’s alleged motive—anger over the U.S. healthcare system.

Mangione, who was arrested days later in Pennsylvania after a nationwide manhunt, faces both state and federal charges, including murder as a crime of terrorism and using a firearm in a fatal interstate stalking.

He has pleaded not guilty to state charges and remains in custody at MDC Brooklyn. Authorities say he used a fake ID and untraceable “ghost gun,” and found documents outlining his motives.

  1. I think ghost guns here would help towards fighting the governments. See what will happen to New Zealand by following the link and watching the embedded video.

  2. So a billionaire gets shot for not paying insurance when he should, and its the death penalty. And yet Bill Gates kills millions and nothing is happening

  3. Good. The obnoxious fawning over this idiot by the lefties is highly irritating. He murdered someone in cold blood.
