A woman on a US flight has been filmed assaulting an elderly man for not wearing a face mask.
The shocking footage was captured by a fellow passenger, and in it the woman is seen striking the man, then spitting in his face. She was eventually removed from the scene by other passengers and some crew.
In the video, the man explains to her that he is not wearing a mask because he is eating. It’s not clear why the woman took exception to the situation or whether she was provoked by other factors, as the footage begins mid-argument.
