Auckland Mayor Wayne Brown has apologised after making an inappropriate comment to a staff member at Radio New Zealand’s Auckland offices, referring to the man—who is of Indian descent—as a “Muslim terrorist” and remarking on his beard while being escorted into the building.
The staff member said he was shocked and hurt, while RNZ described the comment as unacceptable regardless of intent. Brown later acknowledged the remark as a failed attempt at humour and issued a written apology taking full responsibility, though he mistakenly referenced the Sikh community despite the man not being Sikh.
State media RNZ leadership reiterated the importance of respect in the workplace, and the mayor said he remains committed to representing Auckland’s diverse communities.
The more Wayne speaks the more i like this MAN.
So RNZ has these pedestal rape niggers keeping them safe because White security men dont make them feel safe? sooo projecting.
Refreshing to see a politician offering his unfiltered opinions
