Police in Palmerston North are appealing for public assistance after a rare Holden HSV Clubsport was stolen during a burglary at a commercial property over the weekend.

Officers were notified on Sunday, 7 December, that the break-in had occurred the previous day at a Domain Street business, where the 1994 red Clubsport was being restored.

The vehicle, registered HSV425, is described as highly distinctive.

Constable Maskery said it is missing all side windows, including the quarter lights, and has no badges or decals. It features 20-inch spoke wheels, custom brakes, and a fresh red paint job.

“Given how unique this car looks, someone in the community is likely to have seen it,” Maskery said, adding that initial efforts to track down the vehicle have been unsuccessful.

Police are urging anyone who has spotted the car or has information on its whereabouts to contact them immediately via 105, using the reference number 251208/3820. Information can also be provided anonymously through Crime Stoppers on 0800 555 111.
