Uefa has fined Tottenham Hotspur and imposed a one-year suspended ban on the club selling away tickets after three supporters made Nazi salutes during a Champions League match against Eintracht Frankfurt at Deutsche Bank Park on 28 January, a game Spurs won 2-0.
European football’s governing body cited racist and discriminatory behaviour, issuing a £26,000 fine along with an additional £1,966 penalty for objects thrown by fans. Tottenham condemned the actions as reprehensible, confirmed the individuals involved have been identified, and handed them indefinite bans under the club’s disciplinary policy, stressing the behaviour does not reflect the club’s values.
The development follows a separate investigation launched by Real Madrid last week after a fan allegedly made a similar gesture before their Champions League victory over Benfica.
