France storms back to sink Wallabies in Brisbane

France produced a dominant second-half comeback to defeat Australia 28-42 in Brisbane, overturning a nine-point halftime deficit after the Wallabies had surged ahead through two tries from Fraser McReight.

Debutant Aaron Grandidier Nkanang crossed twice for the visitors, while Romain Ntamack, Florian Verhaeghe and Theo Attissogbe also scored as France piled on 30 unanswered points to secure a fourth straight win over Australia.

Jeremy Williams grabbed a late consolation try for the Wallabies, who slumped to a sixth consecutive defeat ahead of Joe Schmidt’s final match in charge against Italy next week.
