Ireland secured their 14th Triple Crown and kept their Grand Slam hopes alive with a hard-fought 18-27 victory over a resurgent Wales in Cardiff.
Despite playing with 14 men for 20 minutes after Garry Ringrose’s red card, Ireland overturned an 18-10 deficit with tries from Jack Conan and Jamie Osborne, while Sam Prendergast contributed 17 points.
Wales, under interim coach Matt Sherratt, delivered an inspired performance with tries from captain Jac Morgan and Tom Rogers, but Ireland’s resilience proved decisive.
As Ireland prepares to face France and Italy in pursuit of a historic third successive Six Nations title, Wales will aim to avoid the Wooden Spoon in their remaining matches against Scotland and England.
