Netball New Zealand (NNZ) has stood down Silver Ferns coach Dame Noeline Taurua for the upcoming Taini Jamison Series against South Africa, following “unresolved issues” between players and management over the team’s high-performance environment.

While denying that relations with Taurua have completely broken down, NNZ confirmed some players raised concerns about her communication style after a training camp earlier this year, prompting an independent review.

Despite efforts to mediate, tensions remain unresolved, leading to Taurua’s temporary stand-down. Former Pulse coach Yvette McCausland-Durie will act as interim coach.
