Aston Villa overturned an early, chaotic Leeds opener to claim a 1–2 win at Elland Road, with Morgan Rogers scoring twice to deepen the home side’s relegation fears and increase scrutiny on manager Daniel Farke.
Leeds went ahead after Emi Martinez was outjumped in a messy sequence that saw Lukas Nmecha credited with the goal following a lengthy VAR check.
Villa surged after halftime, with Donyell Malen setting up Rogers for the equaliser before the forward curled in a superb free-kick to complete the comeback. Leeds briefly thought they had levelled, but VAR ruled Dominic Calvert-Lewin had handled the ball.
The defeat leaves Leeds stuck in the drop zone after a third straight loss, while in-form Villa — now with six wins in seven — could finish the weekend in fourth.
