The Sharks overcame an 6-18 halftime deficit to defeat the Dragons 30-18 in a thrilling local derby that kicked off Round 15 of the NRL Telstra Premiership.
After suffering a heavy loss to the Warriors last week, the Sharks roared back in the second half with a dominant performance led by Addin Fonua-Blake and Briton Nikora, who marked his 150th NRL game with a try and five tackle breaks.
Despite a promising first half from the Dragons, highlighted by strong efforts from Jack de Belin and Clint Gutherson, they were unable to contain the Sharks’ second-half onslaught, extending Cronulla’s winning streak over their rivals to ten straight matches.
