Australia cancels Candace Owens’ visa

Candace Owens news

Australia’s Immigration Minister Tony Burke has cancelled commentator Candace Owens’ visa, blocking her from entering the country for a November tour of live shows.

Citing Owens’ history of statements that he believes could “incite discord,” Burke flagged concerns about her “controversial rhetoric”, noting her remarks on topics related to Judaism and Islam.

This decision follows calls from Australian officials, including the Executive Council of Australian Jewry, who argued Owens’ visit would challenge “social cohesion.”

The tour, initially set to begin in Melbourne on November 17, has now been cancelled.

Owens is due to speak in New Zealand on Thursday November 14th at the Trusts Arena in Henderson.
