Expert warns of ‘deep failures’ in vaccine oversight and transparency

Prominent Danish medical researcher and professor, Dr Peter Gøtzsche, has accused U.S. health agencies, vaccine manufacturers, and leading vaccinologists of systematically concealing safety data and shaping public perception through what he describes as “a religion of vaccines.”

Responding to a new book by lawyer Aaron Siri – Vaccines Amen. The Religion of Vaccines, Gøtzsche argues that lawsuits have revealed longstanding failures in testing, monitoring, and reporting vaccine harms, including the near-total absence of placebo-controlled trials for childhood vaccines and the suppression of adverse event data by agencies such as the CDC, FDA and HHS.

He cites internal documents, legal disclosures, and historical trial records — including thousands of pages he reviewed as an expert witness in HPV vaccine litigation — to claim serious neurological harms have been overlooked or denied. Gøtzsche also points to the Henry Ford dataset, which reportedly showed higher rates of chronic illness among vaccinated children, as evidence that crucial safety findings have been buried to protect institutional interests and vaccine uptake targets.

The article further argues that regulatory agencies have adopted deceptive practices, curtailed transparency, and dismantled mechanisms meant to ensure vaccine safety, leaving the public with little reliable information about potential risks.

Pointing to decades of undisclosed vaccine safety reports, rejected FOIA requests, and withheld trial data, Gøtzsche contends that US institutions have “failed the public badly,” especially during the Covid-19 era when critical safety signals were ignored or hidden.

While acknowledging the historic role of vaccines against diseases like smallpox, he says modern vaccination policy has become coercive and detached from scientific rigour, relying heavily on mandates, censorship, and corporate influence. Gøtzsche concludes by calling for radical reform led by political figures willing to challenge entrenched interests, warning that history will judge harshly those who punished people for refusing medical products that were never adequately tested.
