“Please delete this e-mail”: Fauci lies exposed in U.S. Senate Committee

Fauci deleted emails news

Newly released emails from the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee have blown apart Dr. Anthony Fauci’s sworn testimony that he never deleted records or obstructed transparency around COVID-19.

In a February 2, 2020 email, Fauci explicitly told then-NIH Director Francis Collins, “Please delete this e-mail after you read it.”

Months later, on July 20, 2020, he gave the same order to another NIH employee, writing, “I do not want to engage any more with this nonsense. And so, please delete this e-mail after you read it.”

These instructions directly contradict Fauci’s June 2024 testimony to Congress, where he flatly denied deleting communications related to the Wuhan lab or origins of the virus. Senator Rand Paul says the proof is undeniable—Fauci lied under oath.

Paul, now chair of the Senate committee, is demanding Fauci appear within weeks to explain why he misled lawmakers and concealed records.

He has vowed to subpoena him if necessary, arguing perjury cannot go unpunished.

“Perjury is a crime. And Fauci must be held accountable,” Paul declared. The committee has set dates later this year for Fauci to testify again as it digs deeper into U.S.-funded virus experiments in Wuhan.

For years Fauci insisted he “never lied before Congress”—but these emails show otherwise, raising serious questions about whether he deliberately covered up U.S. involvement in risky research while misleading the American people.
