Scientists say giant interstellar comet 3I/ATLAS could be ‘alien technology’

Astronomers have identified interstellar object 3I/ATLAS as significantly larger than previously thought, estimating its mass at over 33 billion tons and its nucleus wider than 3.1 miles.

This makes it far more massive than earlier interstellar visitors ‘Oumuamua (2017) and 2I/Borisov (2019).

The comet, composed mainly of carbon dioxide, will pass near Jupiter, Venus, and within 1.67 million miles of Mars’ orbit, but poses no threat to Earth.

Its unusual trajectory, retrograde tilt, and non-gravitational acceleration have led Harvard astronomer Avi Loeb and colleagues to suggest it could be a technological artifact, possibly an alien probe conducting reconnaissance in the Solar System.

“The hypothesis in question is that [31/ATLAS] is a technological artifact, and furthermore has active intelligence. If this is the case, then two possibilities follow,” Dr. Loeb, Adam Drowl and Adam Hibberd, wrote in a paper published on July 17. “First, that its intentions are entirely benign and second, they are malign.”

  1. Nibiru or Planet X has been through here before.

Potential to destabilise current planetary orbits and affect the delicate solar electromagnetic gravity systems.

Also known as the ‘winged planet’ in ancient Sumerian texts describing the last visit of this phenomena and the cataclysmic effects associated with it.
