Texas Children’s Hospital to open detransition clinic in $10m settlement

Texas Children's Hospital detransition settlement

New Zealand parents and advocates call for urgent policy review as global evidence mounts.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has secured a historic healthcare fraud settlement with Texas Children’s Hospital – the largest children’s hospital in the United States – compelling the creation of the country’s first-ever multidisciplinary Detransition Clinic, a $10 million payment to the state, and the permanent firing of multiple physicians who performed gender-transition procedures on children.

Under the agreement, Texas Children’s must:

  • Establish and fully fund (free to patients for the first five years) a dedicated clinic to provide medical reversal care for those harmed by “gender-transition” interventions.
  • Pay $10 million for illegally billing Texas Medicaid using false diagnosis codes.
  • Permanently terminate privileges of five physicians involved and cease all “gender-transition” services.
  • Implement strict compliance measures and bylaw changes to prevent future violations of Texas law.

The settlement, reached in coordination with President Trump’s Department of Justice, follows a years-long investigation.

Paxton described it as “a monumental day in the fight to stop the radical transgender movement,” stating it reflects “an institutional and fundamental cultural shift away from radical ‘gender’ ideology” and will hold accountable those who “hurt our kids.”

New Zealand investigative reporter Penny Marie, currently in Texas meeting with affected parents, said: “While this decision in Texas delivers real accountability, free detransition care, and consequences for hospitals that profited from ‘gender’ ideology, New Zealand’s Ministry of Health and government continue to face heavy influence from activist groups like PATHA. Mainstream media in NZ has pushed a one-sided narrative, leaving most New Zealanders unaware of the Cass Review, exploding evidence of harm, and detransitioner testimonies.”

Yesterday’s IDAHOBIT “International Day Against Homophobia Biphobia & Transphobia” recognition at parliament led by Rainbow Youth and cheered on by a number of Labour and Green MPs, hoisted an array of flags touting multiple ‘genders’ and sexual preferences. Meanwhile, Pink Shirt Day events at schools and workplaces (often government departments) only highlight how this ideology shows no sign of being reined in in NZ.

Marie, who has documented the issue extensively, added: “Texas Children’s Hospital kept providing these interventions long after they were banned. Whistleblowers and parents fought back – and won. New Zealand parents deserve the same protection. When will our leaders follow the evidence instead of the activists?”

Normal people don’t care what these weirdo’s get up to in their sick lives. Actually we just Don’t Want To Know! When Swearbrick and Davis get chased by ‘white cis males’ on motorbikes cos theyve been praying to a Pride flag in Albert park and expect everyone else to join in.
